Simon Lindgren and Moa Eriksson Krutrök have received funding from the Swedish Research Council for the project "Dynamics of Danger: The Role of Digital Platforms in Crisis Communication".
The project will examine how stories about risk and crisis are crafted and disseminated in today's world of layered and multifaceted threats and insecurities within a hybrid media landscape. The researchers will explore the social and technical processes through which digital platforms shape our understanding and handling of crises, and hopefully offer valuable insights that could help in creating more effective crisis communication strategies and more resilient societies.
