Methodological flexibility in the context of far-right research: The case of Sweden as 'the rape capital of the world

On the 22nd of May, the Data Methods Initiative is hosting a seminar where DIGSUM-researcher Mathilda Åkerlund, Umeå University, will talk about “Methodological flexibility in the context of far-right research: The case of Sweden as ‘the rape capital of the world’”.

The talk will cover a mix of topic modelling, social network analysis, and discourse analysis.

Mathilda Åkerlund is a postdoctoral researcher in digital sociology. She currently works in a VR-funded project where she focuses on how far-right groups in the US imagine Sweden and Swedishness. She is also senior editor for DIGSUM's Journal of Digital Social Research (JDSR).
