Programmable Politics as a new keyword for digital social research

Simon Lindgren and Anne Kaun have recently published an article that introduces “programmable politics” as a new concept and perspective for understanding the complex relationship between technology, society, and politics in the 21st century. According to Lindgren and Kaun, programmable politics goes beyond conventional digital politics by spotlighting the central role of platform architectures, algorithms, artificial intelligence, and non-human agency.
